Книга нижегородского писателя Андрея Кузечкина«Не стану взрослой» вышла в свет в Англии на этой неделе. Об этом корреспонденту РИА «Время Н» сообщил сам писатель во вторник, 22 ноября.
По его словам, по всему миру книга будет продаваться на английском языке и только в России на русском. Жанр произведения —
Некоторые любители современной литературы уже прочли роман в журнале «Урал», где он был опубликован в начале года. Презентация книги в России запланирована на конец января — начало февраля 2012 года. Роман будет продаваться по цене от 250 до 350 рублей. «Цена пока точно не определена, издатель настаивает на 350 рублях, но лично я не стал бы платить за книгу больше 250, поэтому предложил ему снизить цену по России», — рассказал писатель.
На вопрос об авторском гонораре Кузечкин ответил, что будет получать проценты от продаж книги по миру и по России. «Договор заключен на 75 лет, так что есть вероятность, что к старости я разбогатею», — скромно добавил писатель.

This book is about new generation of young people, about new ideas, that everything is possible if one has faith. Very emotional, soulful, and sincere. Read it in one go. The ending both shocked and inspired, made me want to live and explore life. Spirituality of the book brings memories of Haruki Murakami (村上 春樹), but I disagree with the final choice of the lead character.

Pavel writes about modern day Don Quixote heroes, who don’t need windmills to fight, they have their own ideas… But I won’t be spoiling the fun for you, read for yourself and find out. I highly recommend, especially to young romantics.

A beautifully, lyrically crafted novel. If one could combine the contradictory ideas of a soul’s torments and the joy of life in one book – this would be the book. Coming from a young author, it was so refreshing to discover no cynicism or crude language so common to the young generation nowadays. It was a joy to read. You felt extraordinary compassion for the protagonist in his tormented quest, you rejoiced in his optimism, you were bound to feel what he felt. Just look at his description of waves coming to shore (my humble translation – the book is in Russian): ‘The ubiquitous arrival of waves, one after another. It’s so calming, if you look at it. But the point is not this subtle murmur of waves. It’s the fact that after this wave there will be another, and then another. And so – forever. It never fails to calm me. Forever. Do my problems even have a meaning compared to this word…’ But don’t get me wrong – it’s not just a descriptive novel of rumination: there is a plot here – skilfully designed and not resolved until the very end

Lermontov’s only full-scale novel, which prophetically describes the duel in which he later lost his own life. The hero of the novel, Pechorin is an intense individual, a military officer who kidnaps beautiful daughter of Circassian tribesman and who, according to Lermantov’s own introduction, is a composite portrait, made up of all the vices which flourish, full grown, amongst the generation of the time.
On July 25, 1841, at Pyatigorsk, fellow soldier Nikolai Martynov, who had been the butt of Lermontov's jokes, challenged Lermontov to a duel. The duel took place two days later at the foot of Mashuk mountain. Lermontov deliberately chose the edge of a precipice for the duel, so that if either combatant was wounded, he would fall and his fate would be sealed. Lermontov was killed by Martynov's first shot. Much of his best verse was posthumously discovered in his pocket-book.
This edition is a new revision aiming to bring English translation as close as possible to Lermontov’s original vision. There has been some confusion in various English editions containing entries of Pechorin’s diary, not present in Lermontov’s original and various other alterations of Lermnontov’s original structure of the novel. This edition has been compiled after close examination of Russian originals and follows author’s intended structure. Mikhail Lermontov 1814 - 1841, a Russian Romantic writer and poet, sometimes called the poet of the Caucasus, was the most important presence in Russian poetry after Alexander Pushkin's death until his own death in a duel four years later, at the age of 26. Lermontov's life is one of the most epic and dramatic in the history of literature. After attacking the tsar as complicit in the de facto assassination of Pushkin, Lermontov himself fell in a duel that many believe was also the work of a tsarist conspiracy designed to silence nascent rebellion. His major works, which can be readily quoted from memory by many Russians, suffer from the generally poor quality of translation from Russian to English - Lermontov therefore, remains largely unknown to English-speaking readers.

"IT’S TIME” is a book which has been written by the city. Not me. Not a man. The book appeared on the walls of the city itself, has grown along with structures and buildings over time. So I can say that the novel is written on the walls of my city. This relates directly to the plot ... but I am not going to spoil the fun for you here, I will just say that the secret is hidden in the urban art, street art, and my book about this partly.
There are many mysteries there, but what is mysticism? Who can reveal, where it ends and begins? Is magic real? I believe that magic exists and always existed, that it is present in each of us, lives in every moment of our lives, and it is is hidden from everyday sight, and only occasionally, sometimes, for one sparkling moment - she shows us her radiant self. I believe everyone experienced those moments at some point in their life. Do you remember one of your magic moments? My book is about this.
The city is inhabited by different people. Strange and funny. Ordinary and extraordinary. By those who make you want to yawn with boredom, and those that capture your imagination.
